“My first doctor said “you’re too overweight to get pregnant. Lose some weight and come back in 6 months.” With missing periods she also put me on medroxyprogesterone.
My “2nd opinion dr” listened to my worries about having PCOS and got my blood tested and ordered a ultrasound. I was officially diagnosed with PCOS. But she wanted to put me on BC for 6 months and focus on my diet, and exercise 5x/week. I said heck no to the BC, so she prescribed me metformin instead. Ugh! I’ve had enough!
This podcast has answered all of my questions and has given me somewhat of my own game plan. I’m ready to tackle this with light weight training, small changes to my diet, including supplements and REST!
I’ve even shared the first episode to my family to help teach them what PCOS is and what I’m up against.”
