#187: Dietitian Reviews the WHO’s Statements An Alternative Sweeteners (What Is The Real Truth?)
Listen now
Description
In recent months the World Health Organisation has come out with two seperate statements regarding the consumption of non sugar sweeteners as they relate to health outcomes. One statement was about the use of alternative sweeteners for chronic disease management and weight loss. They suggested that they should not be used for these purposes. The most recent announcement was a major talking point in the nutrition space and caused alot of buzz (negative buzz that is). This was in relation to the WHO’s statement that Aspartame was to be classified as “possibly Carcinogenic”.  It is no surprise when a major health organization comes out with statements such as this (especially when so many people have preconceived notions on what is and isn’t true when it comes to nutrition) that it gets the emotions high and the fear factor machine running. Is this all true?!?! Well, the evidence doesn’t care about individual biases and misinformation. We need to approach this through the lens of “what does the research ACTAULLY say”.  In this episode, I explore the recent WHO claim on aspartame and cancer from the perspective of a Dietitian and Nutritionist and decipher the evidence so that you are more informed and know the actual truth. ____________________________________________ DOWNLOAD MY FREE MACRO NUTRITION CHEATSHEET  Your Guide To Improving Your Macros & Food Knowledge https://theclimbingdietitian.lpages.co/macro-cheatsheet-the-climbing-dietitian/ Apply for 90-Day Macro Sherpa Program: https://bit.ly/395QmGs Check out and SUBSCRIBE to my YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/2Mxqs4W Email me: [email protected] To find me on socials: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theclimbingingdietitian TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@theclimbingdietitian Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theclimbingdietitian Twitter: https://twitter.com/beardyAPD Link to blog: https://bit.ly/330ULq4 Check out my website for more information on me and what I do: https://www.theclimbingdietitian.com.au
