I thought I knew Prodigy’s story very well, since I read his autobiography. I suffer from the same disease, were born only a few days apart in NYC. I grew up in Queens, I didn’t know him personally. I just saw him around Jamaica ave plenty of times. I understand his experience the way only...Read full review »

True MOBB fan out in Los Angeles.. thank you for telling the Prodigy-MOBB DEEP story. I still feel the loss of P all the time. It’s great to hear the voices of Prodigy’s family & friends as they share these great memories. #ForeverP

I’ve always been a fan of Mobb Deep and was sadden by Prodigy’s death. This podcast delves into this life and battle with sickle cell anemia so well. The writing is beautiful and the story that the hosts weave together is deeply fascinating.

Too corny. From the strong language disclaimer to the nasally speakers. This should’ve been so much better but fell flat.

Such a sad, yet fascinating story. Amazing talent. The best, and one of the only, part two’s that you could do that may stand up to this would be Guru/Gang Starr. I would LOVE to hear the real, real deal on that whole story. Solar did that man wrong.

I didn’t really know anything about prodigy before listening to this series -but it’s not just about prodigy but more so perfectly weaving the history of a wrenching disease and how it impacts and has impacted individuals over time -this was sooo well done! Thank you!

As an African-American physician and avid 90’s hip hop enthusiast...THANK YOU. Bias is everywhere, and this made this abundantly clear. Hopefully this comprehensive look of his life becomes a documentary for the masses.

Moved to Queens as a teenager solely because of Nas and Mobb Deep. No joke. Still here, and forever. P is a legend and this disease needs to be understood. Thank you for creating this podcast.
