The Ref Show - Keith Hackett & David Hirst
Listen now
Description
On this week's Ref Show, Alan Biggs is joined by former PGMOL manager and FIFA referee Keith Hackett, and ex Sheffield Wednesday striker David Hirst to discuss all the action from the weekend as the Premier League returned from it's international break. Two high challenges resulted in two different outcomes with Liverpool's Saido Mane seeing red after colliding with Man City goalkeeper Ederson in the Saturday midday kick-off. Then on Sunday, Newcastle's Matt Ritchie produces a similar challenge on Swansea's Alfie Mawson, only to receive a caution. Get the panel's view on whether both decisions were correct. There's also discussion on the rest of the games in the Premier League and the EFL, as well as praise for Bibiana Steinhaus. She became the first female referee to officiate in the German Bundesliga in Hertha Berlin's 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen.
