#231: Conquering Your Fears In Sports With Sonja Vreugdenhil
Listen now
Description
Sonja describes herself as a passionate rookie in the endurance world, but we would argue that she's well beyond rookie status after winning the infamous New Zealand Coast 2 Coast 2-day Individual race earlier this year. Sonja goes into great detail sharing her deep-seated fears around water and how she has worked to overcome them in the last few years through triathlon and multisport training and racing. This show covers an array of hugely important topics such as anxiety, imposter syndrome, RED-S, injury setbacks, positive self-talk, goal setting and the importance of coach-athlete relationships. Sonja is vulnerable and highly relatable to many of us out there chasing our own big scary goals. This show is hosted by IFE Coaches, Steph Humphyrey and Zoë Van Mil Potaka.
