“I found that the hosts spend almost as much time joking around and talking about themselves as they do the history they’re trying to cover.
This might be fine with some, but personally it’s not to my taste. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping to be able to engage more with this country‘s history.”

“There is a difference between feeling true guilt and the insincere guilt that the hosts emit, taking some sort of smug pleasure in being able to not appreciate Canadian landmarks. There is an art in being able to tell a story without telling the audience how they ought feel about the story.”
