Absolutely necessary
This podcast is well-researched, thoughtfully delivered, and does a great job of bringing to light incredible stories about Canada's less-than-spotless history. We up north tend to romanticise our history through a lens of "well-at-least-we're-not-our-neighbours-to-the-south", but there are some truly shameful stories that are absolutely foundational to so much of what we've come to know as Canada today. I'm glad these ladies are sharing these with us, and hope to hear more. To the terribly whiny individuals whose only criticism boils down to "how dare you focus on the horrible reality that distracts from our great country": it must be nice to live such comfortable lives, but it doesn't exactly reflect us as "great" when we choose to eschew compassion and empathy for the convenience of blissful ignorance.Read full review »
