I was Skeptical at first, but....
Learn how to become a critical thinker, learn to formulate a logical argument to debunk the current fad 'pseudosciences'. Many of the proponents of ESP, UFO's, Creationism, Fad Diets, Faith Healers etc. seem to be innoculous and can be easily dismissed by the average clear thinking person. However, there are many vulnerable and naive people being hurt physically, emotionally and financially particulary by Faith Healers and bogus alternative medicines. What I enjoy the most is that the show is not mean spirited or stodgy. A well balanced cast has discussions and interesting guests on a wide variety of subjects. A point of view is not forced upon you, rather you learn the tools that enable you to think for yourself. Quite a dangerous proposition during these strange times! The Charlatans ( the scam artists, not that wonderful band out of Manchester, UK) must be shaking in their boots. The show includes balanced discussions without people screaming over one another while being presented with a sense of humor. It is my favorite podcast that has directed me to other interesting web sites about science. Don't miss it!Read full review »

My boyfriend downloaded this podcast by accident before my trip to Spain and it was the best mistake possible! It is informative, but also has the right amount of comedy. It also prepared me for my philsophy classes in the fall.Read full review »
