Excellent and entertaining... scientific skepticism at its best!
I've been catching up on the podcast from the beginning in the last couple months and absolutely love it. I'm a former science educator (I have a Science Education degree with a specialization in Physics and for many reasons am no longer teaching) and I am thrilled that there is a resource to keep me up on some of the latest news that I might have missed...while at the same time being quite entertaining. I also thoroughly enjoy the witty banter and piercing logic with "religious" fervor. ;) In this day and age of "throw away entertainment", this is a great way for the lay audience and indeed scientists as well to build critical thinking skills and also have an outlet for our skeptical viewpoint in this world of easy answers and superficial as well as supernatural explanations. One of the many reasons I left education was the lack of focus on critical thinking and thoughtful questioning. This podcast helps to build both in a truly meaningful way. Thank you for bringing a sense of rationality and scientific skepticism to a world of "skepticism of science." -Manny G., Orlando, FLRead full review »
