“I’m listening to an episode based on a recco I saw and am feeling a little jarred by the ways they just bust into the ads without taking a clean break from the podcast. The episode I’m listening to is the one about the woman who was kidnapped by pirates, so it’s really intense and emotional, and I’m not noticing any transition from the hosts interviewing the guest to the same person talking about a hair product. No mention that it’s an ad or this company is sponsoring them. Obviously, I can quickly tell it’s an ad, but it took a second and feels gross and disrespectful to the guest and the story being told.”
