I coach a 7v7 U9 team in Tasmania . When I started I didn’t have a clue, I was focused only on the result with dreadful outcomes for the team, parent relationships and relationship with my own son. This pod cast changed everything, I turned from a results obsession to obsessing about the kids...Read full review »

I just wanted to write and say thanks for a wonderful podcast. I’ve been listening for about six months having recently started coaching my son’s U8’s (now U9’s) team. So many useful tips and thoughts.

This is easily the best podcast out there for new coaches in the foundation phase. It will teach you the meaning of equal game time and the positive way of rotation through your young team. The lads speak so much sense and I’m truly grateful for the time they have put into this podcast. It has...Read full review »

The podcast offers an insight from a broad range of coaches experiences and for those just starting out to those that are well versed in the coaching world it’s a good chance to add or adapt to what you’re doing. Worth a listen and there’s a back catalogue to listen to that’s definitely worth...Read full review »

I stumbled across this podcast around a year ago whilst looking for information on coaching . After completing my level 2, it helped cement my ideals as a grassroots coach. They offer you a different perspective through their own experiences and share other coaches experiences. Very informative...Read full review »

I had been coaching foundation grassroots for a few seasons, had my Level 1, but was struggling to truly make sense of football coaching. By chance, I found this podcast and honestly things made more sense from episode 1. My enthusiasm and confidence in coaching have grown immensely, I have found...Read full review »

I only recently discovered this podcast after a recommendation from another coach. I’ve been coaching for 4 seasons and wished I had this when I first started. I’m still catching up on episodes but every one I’ve listened to so far has been worthwhile and helped my coaching. Highly recommended!!

Most soccer podcasts focus on older players. This is great, especially for those of us who coach younger players. I especially enjoy hearing the hosts review one another’s sessions.

I’ve only been a FA Football Coach for a short period of time, promoting myself from Dad on the side, to team coach of a grassroots team. This podcast is fantastic source of advice, pinning down and discussing excellent and relevant topics around the sport at the grassroots level. Lots for...Read full review »

Just started coaching jointly with a teacher for a local under 8s football team based in Lower Earley, Reading (Laurel Park Tornadoes). Still getting to grips with the squad but loving it as both our sons are part of the team. Podcast recommended to me by a good friend (Ben). Fantastic listen...Read full review »

These podcasts are helping me to be a better parent, watcher of youth football and be able to support and understand our coach’s ethos. My focus on winning is waning and I can appreciate the decision making skills my son is learning each match. Thank you for opening my eyes to important discussions!

I’m absolutely flying through these podcasts. I’m a new coach who’s passed FA level 1 looking to move onto level 2 with about 12 months coaching experience. Really great advice without being preachy and taking into consideration everyone’s approach is different. Can’t fault it at all. Love it. I...Read full review »

Super work by Scott and Mark, always on point to discuss relevant subjects in the sphere of coaching, never lecturing what the listener should be doing, but providing the why and how to what they do. Only negative is the shouty American bloke introducing the pod as he’s 50% loader than the main...Read full review »

Listened to the first three podcasts and really enjoyed it. Picked up a few new things to bring back to my youth teams. Would love to hear your thoughts on unopposed v opposed practices, and for youth players structured practices v free play. Keep up the good work!
