“I thought I just had an addictive personality and the only thing I could do to stop bingeing was to quit the things that are “bad” for me. With drinking that’s easy (at least for me). Don’t drink, and you don’t have to worry about binge drinking. With food it’s totally different bc you have to eat. I’ve felt defeated for a long time since quitting drinking in 2017. I thought that was the answer. That was just part of it. Bottom line is I’m 5 episodes in and feel a little bit of hope now. I can do this. It will probably carry over into other aspects of my life that I do compulsively. Thank you for what you have given to us!”
