Poor imitation of the real thing.
It's not the same as before. I'm not resistant to change, but in this case the show has lost its voice. Gruber's attempt to read the ads ends up very awkward and unnatural. Topics are all over the place. Dan Benjamin was someone you could relate to, but John Gruber treats his listeners with utter contempt and disdain. Why would anyone reward such behavior?
