The longer format seemed to work well, though hopefully they won't retain their overwhelming bias towards the top of the Premier League, and will focus in depth on other leagues (here and abroad).
Kelly Cates was a breath of fresh air, and hopefully a wider range of contributors will also be engaged to prevent the bored, contractually-obliged feeling that seemed to pervade some episodes of Football Weekly (am looking at you Glendenning and Steinberg).
