Excellent compulsory listening
As a 56 year old feminist I thought I knew a lot about domestic violence but this podcast is so enlightening. I always knew my mother was afraid of my father, and his anger, but I now realise it was coercive control. For decades I have blamed her for not leaving him and now I see how systematically she was disempowered by him. This should be compulsory listening for women of all ages.

I have read every report on DV and followed Jess Hill’s writing and research. I can’t give enough praise for Jess’s work and dedication on this area of concern. Her articulation, writing, research, oration is unmatched. Jess is the voice needed for this complex and difficult subject.

Well done Jess Hill and team for highlighting DV and how widespread it is and how educated, intelligent, and financially independent women can still get caught in this trap. Episode 3 was horrifying but also provided great insight into the perpetrators and their triggers.
