I watched the show. It was gripping, as this series always is. 5 stars for content. I also have no issues with this pod. But I am beyond annoyed that a show about AK Arctic isn’t filmed there. I live in a small village in south central AK. Yep. It can be challenging & I’m not even in the...Read full review »

Loved learning more about the series through conversations with the director, actors, cinematographer, sound designer, and the entire collaborative team. These truly in-depth episodes reveal how dynamic storytelling can translate on screen. The way the female-centric narrative and Native...Read full review »

Such a great podcast. Brought the show to life even more. It was beautifully and thoughtfully done. Centers Inupiaq and female voices to everyone’s benefit.

I love listening to official podcasts especially those shows on HBO or Max as they’re known now. This is by far the worst of those podcasts. I listen to the podcasts in hopes of finding a detail or two that I missed. The podcasts are only about 30 minutes long and on some of those it seems like...Read full review »

I love the podcasts Rythmn and insight into aspects of Alaskan life, indigenous issues that are issues for all in the end, and listening to writer, director, actors and their process to make this fantastic series. I love hearing their native languages in the interviews. Highly recommend.

HBO always produces amazing companion podcasts. However, this one not only was interesting and entertaining but also extremely insightful. I leaned so much about Alaska and the native people and history. Thank you!

The show is exceeding all of my expectations, even as a True Detective fan. The podcast itself is so well done and is opening my eyes to many topics that I would not have known about or considered.

I love this series. Couldn’t wait for the episodes to drop. My most favorite thing about it is the female presence throughout. The writing was great! I loved how Danvers eventually came aroundAnd Navarro learned her name. Denvers daughter finding her indigenous self. Issa can really spin a story!

Congratulations on a brilliant podcast! You offered a us a place in real life to direct all of the care we have for the show’s character. Thank you.

Way too focused on politics and forcing the creators agenda/opinon on the audience. You should never ask your audience for a five star review, earn it. The woke agenda took precedent over story telling here, which is sad. This was an amazing series.

This podcast and series has shed more insight and created more interest into the culture, dynamics and dramatic beauty of Alaska and it’s indigenous citizenry. The nod to the matriarchy, the “aunties network” and the lifelong walk of those of us of mixed heritage-not fitting in or accepted by...Read full review »

I loved the show even when it started going left around episode 3 or 4. On the flip side, this podcast was horrible. I was looking for clarity and intention of the episode. I got neither. I was bored out of my mind. Makes me feel like there was no real direction except to spotlight the atrocities...Read full review »

Reading all of the other comments from people who say this podcast is “horrible” only tells me they’re naive to the issues we face as Alaska Native people in rural Alaska. This perfectly illustrates the MMIP crisis, the environmental issues and the law enforcement negligence we face in rural...Read full review »

My Wife & I found this Season of TD to be one of the very best! This companion piece to the tv show is fantastic. It was so illuminating to the complexity of the show, how indigenous culture and stories were such a big part of the writing and creation of the show. I really loved hearing the director and other crew speak about the making. Well done!!

While I appreciate that there were very strong female stories in Night Country, there were some sting make roles as well. I wish the podcast had explored these roles more deeply and how these men were influenced by the strong women in the story.

I learned so much, listening to this podcast; not just plots and character development, but spiritual depth, tribal traditions, and the struggle of indigenous women to survive a fiercely patriarchal society. Good interviews with the series stars, too. Well done!
