I just finished this podcast, this the 1st day of 2024. Insightful, and inspiring. Would love to hear more in the future, but if not, this was a real treat. A fun guide for a fantastic, exquisite album in ATUM. The Smashing Pumpkins are in a league of their own.

This podcast provides great insights from an historically great band, but next time, use one host not in the band who understands music. The wrestling guys sound like wrestling guys, and while I liked wrestling once upon a time, their tones of voice are so jarring.

I stumbled upon this podcast because I saw a TikTok about it. This is an amazing podcast for those of us who have always wondered what the meaning behind the music is. For as long as I can remember, my mind has constantly wanted to interpret what I’ve been listening to. This is a really cool...Read full review »

A well crafted and ever evolving presentation welded to an absolutely fascinating and rare musical exploration with an eloquent and strongly opinionated artist. What a treat. Mr Corgan is a superb soapbox speaker with a force of will that nails even the most incongruous or non-sensical viewpoint...Read full review »

I’ve been a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan since the early 90’s and always loved the music, concepts and creativity - and uniqueness of Smashing Pumpkins. Atum is by far yet another fantastic addition to the catalogue and this podcast is just brilliant. I love the deep dive and additional...Read full review »

This podcast is great. Would love to see it cover Mellon Collie and and Machina in the future. Feel like I understand things so much better now and it’s nice to have some podcasts that give me a break from miserable News.

Absolutely loving the podcast absolutely loving Atum. Hearing the breakdown song, how it coordinates with the story is a lot of fun your guests are unique and diverse. I encourage you guys to go on making more podcasts be on the album release.

I have listened to every episode, every tuesday since the beginning. Ritualistically. I haven't loved every single song individually at the time (but listening to the album straight through is a WONDERFUL experience). Its a journey. IT IS A JOURNEY. And more than that, listening to Billy...Read full review »

I listened every Wednesday morning as it was my only day working from home. I love the stories behind the old songs. I laughed out loud while listening to the story behind “Eye.” My favorite was episode 21. I never realized how good of a song “Shame” is. Magical. The story behind the “today”...Read full review »

This podcast is incredible! Billy Corgan has always been an interesting interview, being honest and thoughtful about a world where he refused to play the music industry game. This podcast is Billy at most straightforward, being direct about his songs, musical process, and relationships using...Read full review »

I’ve been a Smashing Pumpkins fan since forever (I walked down the aisle to the instrumental of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness) so it was a no brainer for me to check out this podcast. Of course I’m loving hearing the story of Atum, the new album and the stories behind some of the classic...Read full review »

Nothing less than simply amazing! More proof of why I have stuck with this band since the beginning, and that William is the genius that he is. I am 50 and believe in doing albums, the old-school way I love it! To be able to sit down and listen to a two hour story of music that when played in...Read full review »

Such a great podcast with insights, great new tracks from Atum and old classics but my favourite bit is how Billy (WPC) deconstructs thoughts, systems, world views etc and by the end I feel like I can reflect on myself and how I interact with the world with a whole new perspective. I am 54 years old and have been a Pumpkins fan since 1994, beginning with Pisces, moving backwards and then forwards all of the way to the present faithfully. This podcast has far exceeded whatever hopes I could’ve housed as it not only delivers an unfiltered avenue for WPC to speak his mind...Read full review »

Huge Smashing Pumpkins fan from way back in the 90’s but somehow lost my way after Adore… Not a reflection on Sp rather I stopped listening to ANY new music when the rough transition from Cd to streaming began, plus work, life, other things got in the way. the SP’s soundtracked my life from my late teens, into my 20’s, like for so many other people (in my late 30’s now but still awed by their music) this podcast is a gem, can’t believe i’m so late to the party.. as a lyric nerd who to this day still looks up “song meaning” websites, this podcast...Read full review »

Great work Billy. Love the story. Especially love the olds stories of past songs. Billy is a true genius in the rock world who deserves way more credit. Cobain is way over rated and boring where as Corgan is underrated. His music spans different genres and time. Thank you Billy Ø

I really appreciate what Billy is doing on this podcast - the access he’s giving us fans is is as far and deep one can go without “naming names”. It is a clever way of processing the new music. Everyone involved clearly is passionate. This is a great podcast. I like the format: the continuing story of ATUM, a look back to a song from the past, guests and great stories. I hope they consider a second season where they keep the same format but continue to explore story themes of Machina and Mellon Collie.
