Episode 11: Season Closer Reminds Me!
After enjoying a full year's "slate" of episodes (11 to be exact), it is that final, season finale-ing, episode that NICELY (and, yes, sweetly), ties a pretty bow on Jeremy and Maxine's adventure in podcasting. Personal ratings: >Banter: never better >Concept: interviewing each other - SOLID, ridiculous and charming >Maxine ages (like wine): she briefly reflects on the last days of being 28 (woah!) >Jeremy's music journey: Christian music, Mom's influence (including the Beatles), musical parents (Dad is musically adept, Mom a "music lover"), early favorites (outside of Christian music!), and Maxine describes Jeremy's music identity as "copy and paste". You MUST listen to the full episode for FULL context! >Maxine's journey (another church choir "violator" with her best friend, Malina; missed out on dreams of being a member of a "traveling pit band"; unwilling to share her "baby" songs about "fake people". There is MUCH MUCH more, and this is the IDEAL episode for a "This Song Reminds Me" newbie because it immediately takes you into the HIGH CONCEPT approach of guests sharing their music background/interests, followed by actual "sampling" of their early, foundational, song favorites. Look forward to SEASON 2!Read full review »

Jeremy, the host’s first three guests are from his improv group; the fourth episode’s guest is Beto Barakmo, Maxine’s boyfriend,...Read full review »
