Science Lite - Extremely Lite (and far too giggly)
This podcast is like USA Today for science or an ever lighter version of Discover Magazine. As I listen to the news items I CRAVE for more details, but they are always lacking. Every other sentence will have you asking additional questions in your mind... which are never answered by the hosts. They will blurt out generalities without the necessary references. Think of this show as science for your mom. Science for somebody who reads the headlines and no further. Science for somebody who will simply accept information without feeling a need to dig deeper in order to understand the complexities and the real story behind the headline. One of the show's hosts (Kirsten) was in NYC for 3 months doing a science writing fellowship at NBC Studios. During that time the show's feed took a dive due to remote technical issues, but it's now back up and running full-steam. Tune in for one of the best science shows around.Read full review »
