I like that this podcast comes at the publishing from a different angle but the hosts have this habit of declaring that any given book is "just bad" and then move along in the discussion without explaining why they have that opinion. To me this comes across as arrogant. It's like they're saying...Read full review »

I love this podcast. Everything from insider baseball to actual baseball. And some publishing too.

The podcast to listen to if you want to know who the next great international authors are and who is translating them. They also make a point to read/discuss more women authors than most other sources!

There's a world...literally...of great reading out there. If we're lucky, it gets translated into English. These folks will let you know what and why to read.

One of my favorite podcasts. The hosts are opinionated yet insightful. They have a great deal of passion and expetise regarding their subject, but they don't take it or themselves too seriously. Fun, funny, and literary without being dry or preachy. One of the best literary podcasts out there.

Couldn't live without it. To Mr. Post: quoting The Stranger in The Big Lebowski "Dude, do you have to use so many cuss words?"

Have been listening for a while, and love all the books they're discussing, gushing over, and ripping apart. I have often come away with a book to buy, and their recommendations are a nice way of discovering something new and exciting. Also love how they shine a light on my profession,...Read full review »

Listening to this podcast is like listening to a couple of old friends rant about great books/publishing/sports at the bar. Always entertaining, and full of great recommendations.

Open Letter and New Directions publish some of the best books around at the moment, and their intelligent, hilarious conversations about books, publishing and translations are always entertaining. My only complaint is that as a non-American, their occasional free-associating about US sports is...Read full review »

I always come away from listening to the Three Percent Podcast with at least four book added to my must-read list. I like that they have an opinionated take on the publishing industry and on books, authors, journals, and e-books. On the downside, I am offended by the anti-Cubs rhetoric, and...Read full review »

Definitely one of my favorite podcasts. I found the podcast thanks to an alumni newsletter. I like hearing their views on the publishing industry. Chad and Tom aren't afraid to be blunt if they don't like something and praise things they like with as much passion. I've easily discovered a dozen...Read full review »

This has become one of my must-listen podcasts! The two hosts are knowledgable, funny and entertaining to listen to. I do wish they'd talk more about books, authors, translators and/or make recommendations. It may just be my impression - but their discussions seem to revolve around the...Read full review »
