“Like other Truth teaching Preachers before him; J. Vernon McGee breaks down the Bible so simplified without man's interference.
While I don't find him as solid on the more complex biblical issues such as The Elect; or explaining of the 1st Century gifts like Tongues; as explained by Preachers of the past far less influenced by a softer Gospel approach, such as Spurgeon or my personal favorite for those seeking Christian MEAT & not Milk- J.C. Ryle; many common issues as Taught by J. Vernon McGee are spot on explanations, rather than interpretations. Some say that they cannot stand McGee's voice, but I find it quite soothing.
If you are looking for a preacher who only talks about God's love, (While foolishly ignoring God's other traits like wrath!) then you really should go with the crowd over @ the Willow Creek podcast as they are all about filling the seats and that purpose driven church heresy! Solid truths here for those who don't want to be led astray with weak narrow minded thinking.
