Michael Robinson is a decent interviewer, especially compared to most of those who work for the New Books in History podcast. As long as he sticks to asking questions about the explorer and the expedition in question, it's good. But when he asks an author a question such as, "So how was writing this book different from the other writing you've done?" my reaction is, who gives a phuq? That's not what I'm here to find out. The music for the show is bad. The intro is boring. The closing music is unpleasant and irritating.Read full review »
