Super intelligent
It's almost a disservice to label this show as simply 'true crime.' It is soo much more. Melissa brings you the political geography of the region covered using a local crime as a jumping off point for a much deeper discussion of history and context. Shed your liberal racist tropes and get ready to learn something. 👍👍👍Read full review »

I can't believe how good the first episode is--the narrator is unusually polished and the information is really interesting. I hope she'll release episodes more often.Read full review »

Way to dismantle eurocentric and orientalist ideas about Asia while also just making a compelling true crime podcast. Can't wait for the next episode.Read full review »

This is one of the best true crime podcasts I’ve ever heard, and I’ve listened to most of them. Fascinating cases handled in a sensitive way, and with an in-depth exploration of the local and global context. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough! It’s an absolute gem.
