MUST LISTEN for those who are interested in saying GOODBYE to diet-culture and HELLO body love
This podcast was the perfect thing I needed! As someone who grew up in diet culture and body issues, I often struggled trying to find my own voice and know which path was the best for me. Recently, I explored intuitive eating, hoping that it would be something that would finally result in the "weight loss" dreams I had searched for so long. However, after listening to Whitney's podcast, I realized it was more than that! Rather than continuing to encourage myself to "shrink" to a certain size, my eyes were opened to the idea of "listening to my body" and loving/respecting the body that I was already given. This podcast has allowed me to embrace the idea of "health at every size" and to really rediscover the beauty within myself! Whitney has done a great job of explaining the history of diet-culture and how much our own society plays a role in body image through her messages and insightful interviews with professionals. Not only have her episodes been eye opening, but I loved how she incorporates her journey and story as well. I really feel like I'm listening to a good friend, rather than a nutritionist or dietitian!Read full review »
