Alternate Reality, Most Of The Time
Good podcast as along as an alternate outcome of past historical events is the story. No complaints for those podcasts. However, there is one podcast which went off the deep end and tried to pass itself off as historical fact. That would be the Hiroshima Blitz. In the podcast, America gets painted with a very broad brush as the villain while Japan is painted as completely innocent of any wrongdoing, despite all the events and facts leading up to the end result. What is tossed aside and forgotten is how Japan was waging an all-out, to the death of everybody, no questions asked war against the United States, China, the British Commonwealth nations, and whoever else managed to get in the way of Japan. Too bad almost all the WWII veterans are gone, because every one I heard talk about the Pacific war was in agreement that America would have probably lost between one and two million men defeating Japan using conventional tactics as they did with Nazi Germany. The atomic bombs actually saved lives because none of those men were killed. Sure several thousand Japanese civilians were killed by both bombs. No question about that. But they would have been killed anyway along with 99% of the rest of the country because Japan had this mentality of fighting to the last Japanese still standing. There is a reason there were almost no prisoner of war camps for Japanese prisoners. Unlike the Germans, the Japanese didn't know when it was time to surrender. The Japanese were not surrendering before and there was no evidence they were suddenly about to suddenly start. If anything should be blamed for the atomic bombings, blame the Japanese culture for its own undoing. By the way, back in 1941, Japan could have just as easily decided to not do a sneak attack at Pearl Harbor. Then the bombs would never have been dropped.Read full review »

My only regret is that Twilight...Read full review »
