“One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. This story isn’t broadly known, and I didn’t know much beyond the fact that there was a genocide committed during the Bosnian war. The story is really horrifying, and hearing it told by survivors, moment by moment, as it is especially during episode 2-4, is unforgettably upsetting. I came away with a really strong impression of what it is precisely that we fight for in the west (or merely claim to, depending on your point of view), what we talk about when we talk about the values around which we build our institutions and beliefs, and what happens when we fail to defend those ideas.”
