A lesson we ignore at our peril
This is a very moving and emotional story of the genoside in Bosnia. How a modern, civilised European country can be exploited by nationalist extremists, how ordinary people (mainly men but also women)can become willing participants in mass murder and rape. The harrowing stories that the survivors talk about cannot be easily comprehended by we who live in a peaceful country, and must struggle to understand the cruel and inhumane behaviour of people who are sons, husbands, brothers and uncles, now living and walking amongst us, without us knowing their murderous past behaviour. We cannot now ignore the unwarranted and illegal invasion of Ukrainian by Putin. His soldiers have shown they have the same capacity for rape and murder as the army of Slobodav Milosovic and Ratovan Caradic. Many thanks to the survivors of Srebrenica for having the courage to tell their stories, hold your heads high, and don’t let the world forget.

A harrowing tale of mass murder that occurred while the world looked on and looked away. This is a staggeringly good, sensitively produced podcast and is a must listen. Thank you for telling this story.

It has linked chilling personal experiences that unfortunately do not get better over time with amazing efforts of superb legal and forensic professionals. Does that make it...Read full review »
