Biblically grounded but I question the way advice is delivered at times
I hesitate to write this review, but Jamie Grace is always recommending that people leave a review - albeit she has said a few times to leave 5 stars about how much you loved her podcast, and that isn't exactly what I'm doing! I have been a long-time fan of Jamie Grace and her life choices, and her openness in sharing her views on relationships, not dating, and waiting, amongst other things. I am very pleased for her following her recent marriage - but it seems to me, unfortunately, that since she got married, she often delivers her advice on relationships etc as though she knows everything. Yes, she does admit that she doesn't, and that she hasn't been married for that long, but she then (it appears to me) proceeds to advise in ways that frankly seem condescending. I know that her style of humour is often to be sassy, but I feel uncomfortable at times in the way she delivers her advice. With that said, the topics are often interesting - and she does give godly advice; I just sometimes question the way it is given. I would previously have recommended this podcast to Christian girls that are looking for more resources to uplift and encourage them in their faith, but for the above reasons I am holding back from doing that just now. I would also say that at times, JG talks for a little too long about other things before getting to the point. There are times too, where people are giving their experience in a messaged question, and then Jamie Grace, in attempt to draw parallels between their experience and hers, spends too much time talking about her own experience, rather than focusing the time given to devote to an answer about that individual's personal experience. That also makes me feel uncomfortable. This comment is meant as constructive criticism - but in all of that, I acknowledge that the topics are interesting and I appreciate the regularity of the podcasts, and that they are Biblically-grounded. Thanks!Read full review »

More reviews of The Jamie Grace Podcast
JG always has a really good take on the topics being discussed. It’s very obvious that she genuinely cares about the people who ask her for advice. The humor, sassiness, and sarcasm makes it seem like I’m listening to a best friend. The Wait It Out podcast is my absolute favorite! <3 (:

Words fail me (but I’m gonna try :) when I consider how influential Jamie Grace’s content has been in my life; however, I’ll try to keep it to this podcast lol to be transparent because I’m sure I’m not the only single sister who felt it, I was both elated and sad when she announced her...Read full review »
