Yikes
Listening to this podcast helps me to remember how out of touch yet confident people can be when sharing their opinions (or what Lindsey would refer to as “facts.”) Her guest today Jennifer Fisher is a prime example of this. She shares her eating disordered diet and then says she can’t believe that people would not eat this way despite the products that she shares like nut bread or going to the grocery store every few days being not doable for most people. Also most shocking is when they are talking about how it’s better to grow up being a city kid and Lindsey says that because Jennifer’s kids sometimes play basketball on the west side highway that helps them learn not to be afraid of “all kinds of people.” The thinly veiled classism and racism may officially be too much for me to even hate listen to anymore….
