Grief
Thankfully I have no close personal experience of suicide, but regarding grief, I can really relate to whether it’s “wrong” or “inappropriate” to laugh after loss. My Dad died suddenly in 2005 (he was 82 but his passing was very unexpected) & the night before his funeral I stayed with a close friend who always has me in stitches with her sense of humour & this night was no different. I remember saying to her that I shouldn’t be laughing because my Dad’s just died, but I couldn’t help myself & it lifted me. There were plenty of tears but humour can also be a normal part of the grieving process. 16LS
