Confidence Booster
Back in April, I wanted to start a podcast. I had done so, only once before, but that was for a Social Studies project, and this time, I wanted one for me; not just for a grade. I figured that I should do some planning before I jump right in and start recording. I read through several articles I found online, but none of them compared to the help I received when I stumbled upon Wit & Wire. I completed their “Course Workbook,” and all my worries and negative thoughts about starting a podcast vanished. I felt so confident and prepared, and I knew what I wanted and how to get it. Finally, after filling out this workbook, I took action and started slowly bringing up the idea of a podcast to my parents. I showed them my plans for everything, and they were amazed with the workbook itself! Plus, the podcast episodes themselves, were outstanding! They were truly my inspiration for my own episodes. I loved the formatting and how Melissa’s techniques like incorporating music brought attention to her voice. Additionally, I loved how she really cared about every single one of her listeners. She gets straight to the point and she knows every way to help. Melissa has a lot of teaching years under her belt, so it only makes sense that she is so phenomenal on the Wit & Wire podcast. Anyways, once my parents agreed I could start a podcast, I created “Ranting Teen Talks.” I’ve had so much fun so far, and I don’t intend on stopping anytime soon. The crazy part of it all is that I would’ve missed the entire opportunity of starting my own podcast if it hadn’t been for Wit & Wire. I would've never had the confidence to even consider it. Between the activities, the newsletters, the podcasts- Wit & Wire has everything! The hard work and dedication they put into it is remarkable. To everyone at Wit & Wire, thank you for being there for every single one of your listeners.Read full review »

I immediately felt like starting a podcast was something very attainable for me to do. Her practical...Read full review »
