Lack luster start, however...
Huge fan of WTNV and AiD, so I had high hopes going into this one. So the first episode was, to be frank, disappointing. I love the idea; self help cassets from an alternate distopian alternate universe, but I feel like the execution has fallen flat. While the "exercise" is strange, to be sure, it lacks anything that really grabs onto you and makes you feel creeped out; something WTNV and AiD do with success. That said... WTNV, arguably one of the best fiction podcasts out there, started off pretty slow in it's first episode. It really got up to speed when the lead vocal actor, Cesil, became more comfortable with the role and really made it his own. It didn't happen over night though. I have very high hopes for this series, I think it just needs to find itself, although with only a limited run, it needs to do so rather quickly. Is it worth a listen? Very much yes, but lets see where Ep. 2 can take it.Read full review »

I got pretty tired of counting the panels in the ceiling of my room a while ago. These cassettes make the eternal monotony in here bearable!! Thank you (but I know what you're trying to do and I'm not falling for it again)Read full review »

Another creepy show from the great people who brought you Night Vale and Alice Isn't Dead. The first episode already has me excited to see where things are going to go. If you love the other Night Vale Presents podcasts, this is a must-listen.Read full review »
