A little arrogant...
I guess the title should be a "give away" as to the tone, but in addition to not being as informative as I would like, the podcast is highly judgmental. There is good judgment expressed well, and then there is a mocking derisiveness. While previous generations lived through truly benighted ideas, there is a decided feeling of "we're so much more progressive than them," within in this podcast and perhaps not enough 'privilege checking' to see if we're not as cavalier and presumptuous. Perhaps it will take the post-Millennials to demonstrate how backward today's progressives are. I've heard Millennials deride those who've tried to push social issues to the fore in previous generations from the lofty position of the previous generation's success--during periods of time of great societal push back--and this feels a lot like that. It's pretty easy to make fun of people who pushed for more progressive ideas if you didn't live in that time.Read full review »
