Love these lectures! Please, professor - can we get an update on this class? I’d love to see you incorporate the learnings from JWST, as well as all the new exoplanets we’ve found since 2009.

I really enjoy Richards podcasts, they have structure and never wander off Track like other lectures I have listened to. His knowledge of astronomy is absolutely incredible. I encourage others to listen to his Astronomy 601. It is his best work in my opinion. I have listened to that series over...Read full review »

This is a perfect accompaniment to my own interest in the wider universe and delves into the where and why for around the whole subject of life in the universe and our place within it. Richards’ enthusiasm and knowledge of the subject matter is obviously evident, and is a perfect cap-off for the...Read full review »

Serendipitously came across this podcast. Yes, it’s eleven years old & yes, things are moving fast in this area, but boy this series is still first rate and well worth listening too. Seriously thinking of taking a course in astrobiology . Pity I can’t find a more current podcast on this subject.

A nice change from listening to hosts laughing at their own stupid jokes, and 20 min of nonsense to get to relevant topics. Just wish there were more current episodes!

The course covered many topics that I was familiar with but did so in an original and accessible manner. Richard Pogge presents a comprehensive account of the history of life and the connection with planetary physics. Although this lecture series is around 10 years old, the science stands up in...Read full review »

I gave 5 stars for the content. The audio quality is almost impossible to listen. The instructor is almost screaming in the mic from time to time putting a lot of passion in his presentation which is very engaging but this causes a horrible sound distorsion. I may be smarter after every lecture...Read full review »
