This is, beyond reasonable doubt, not worth your time.
While I understand the desire to jump on the bandwagon of the recent success experienced by podcast such as Serial, this is, as the kids say, a pound shop version at best. Comparable to DC's (minus the first 2 Nolan movies) feeble attempts to rival the Marvel movie franchise, the storytelling is non-existent, the format of the elements poorly thought out & disordered, and the production rushed. There is no actual investigative journalism at all. Much of the first 3 episodes (as much as I could force myself through) is taken up by repeatedly playing a single phone call and speaking to the most obvious people surrounding the case. The podcast offers little in the way of either intrigue or insight and, like a Tory election campaign, there are just far too many meaningless soundbites. The biggest mystery here is how it got to Number 1 in the UK chart on the basis of a couple of short previews? (...fades out to X-Files theme)Read full review »

More reviews of Manhunt: Finding Kevin Parle
Repeats the same clips over and over again, doesn't explore any real information. Very poorly done.Read full review »

Terrible, affected, repetitious. The same few snatches of audio repeated over and over. Pulls that trick of "you'll never guess how twisted we'll get next episode" whilst never getting there at all. Awful.Read full review »

Not too sure why people are complaining about what is essentially the channels first foray into this area of investigative reporting. I hope the team get the chance to cover other cases! Worth every second of your time!
