“While I understand the desire to jump on the bandwagon of the recent success experienced by podcast such as Serial, this is, as the kids say, a pound shop version at best.
Comparable to DC's (minus the first 2 Nolan movies) feeble attempts to rival the Marvel movie franchise, the storytelling is non-existent, the format of the elements poorly thought out & disordered, and the production rushed.
There is no actual investigative journalism at all. Much of the first 3 episodes (as much as I could force myself through) is taken up by repeatedly playing a single phone call and speaking to the most obvious people surrounding the case. The podcast offers little in the way of either intrigue or insight and, like a Tory election campaign, there are just far too many meaningless soundbites.
