History, Humor, & Hatemail
As a Ray and Cam veteran, I was at first saddened to hear they were moving to more modern subject matter. As a student of Ancient History the Caesar, Alexander, and Augustus shows were all a delight to my auditory senses, and I had hoped they would continue their ancient podcasts with another similar series. My disappointment was unfounded however, as the same blunt force trauma is being used to open up the world of the Cold War. In typical fashion there is no rush, and Ray and Cam do their upmost to touch on every relevant topic to tell the whole story. At episode 22, the podcast is still in the World War years; setting the chess pieces up before the move into the years of NATO and the Soviet Bloc. As usual, Cam is unrelenting in his disdain for American actions, but always has the facts to explain the reasons for his contempt. Ray, the faithful sidekick, is always there to keep the show grounded. With the usual mixture of in depth historical commentary, off the wall musical interruptions, course language, and potty humor everything that makes a Ray and Cam podcast great is present and accounted for. Be warned though, if you like your history stale and serious you may want to pass. Cam's Napoleon podcast, or Ray's World War 2 podcast may have more what you are looking for.Read full review »

The world's best history podcasting duo, Ray and Cam, are back with another winner with this thorough, interesting, and unique history of the Cold War. 2. An American attempts to interrupt the ghost of Karl Marx as he...Read full review »
