The Legend Spreads
As a Life of Caesar listener, I quickly found Ray & Cam had other shows before I got to when they were announced on LOC and I was blown away: the show-I-never-knew-I-wanted-but-also-longed-for-all-my-life has branched out to other parts of history! I have caught up on all of them besides Alexander where I have about 121 episodes to go. This Cold War one is fun and begins in a post-Vegas-rendezvous world! The immature jokes are never ending, but it is genuinely sweet to hear how much Ray & Cam love each other; a Nobel Prize in Chemistry is on the horizon. Considering they have taken about 2 years to get to the atomic bomb, Ray has been resting on his WWII laurels and has yet to do any research. And unlike Caesar where Cam originally had very little opinion or background on the guy, you can clearly tell this one is something he’s been thinking about for a while and really wants to knock out of the park. It is a blessing and a curse how much modern sources are left from the Cold War as we get down to the very details of it all including what was served at the Yalta dinners! The songs are great especially when they are unexpected, and there are many characters and impersonations we have all come to love. None more so that Winston Churchill aka Winston aka Winnie aka Winnie the Pooh aka Pooh Bear aka The Fat Man, he will be sorely missed. Uncle Cam, I don't agree with many of your views, but you are an interesting and fun human being. Keep up the good work.Read full review »
