This was very informative and helpful for me to understand more about the history of this country and Harriet Tubman. As mentioned in the episodes, we didn’t learn enough in school.

This is a wonderful production. I felt as though I was transported back to that era. I have studied history for a long time, always looking for what our reality was like during that shameful period in our nation’s history. I was able to actually visualize her life through this production and...Read full review »

Informative, interesting, and impactful. This spans more than just Harriet’s life; it’s rather a lesson in her time period. I would have loved more episodes to get a more detailed view of her biography, but for a such a short series there’s plenty to enjoy.

Loved it. My only wish was they went more in depth about her life. I felt there were a lot of parts that weren’t about her. Still helpful and educational though!

This was a well done podcast about Harriet and the continued racism in this country. I really wanted this to be more than a four episode podcast and I hope they will produce more podcasts of this nature. :)

This helped me learn no just about Harriet Tubman ( Minty ) but about slavery. Before I thought slavery was just jobs for black people, Only after a few moments of the first episode. I realized it was cruel, and how the slaves were treated, no only horribly, but unfairly...

This is an incredible podcast. It shows the history of slavery that they don’t teach you in school. As a young mixed girl this teaches me about the reality of slavery in the us.

I’m loving this podcast! Overdue, and paints a beautifully full and real picture of the woman, the country, etc.

This podcast focuses less on Harriet Tubman and more about slavery and women’s rights in general, which was not what I expected but is still something everyone needs to hear.

Dld’nt Cesely Thomas play mrs.Tugman ln a movie at one time? I read the book years ago and I have a great respect for what she did and so tirelessly and fearlessly she was @ what she did,,, if she here today, I would give her a warm hug and say “well done”

I have leaned so much more about someone who was a legend and yet obscure individual in black history. This is a refreshing and engaging show with a great deal of depth and intricate explanations of a painful and tragic time of this nation. Thank you for creating this work.

Like the historians and hosts of Following Harriet, I learned just a blurb about her life in school. My first real introduction to this larger than life woman, was from watching the movie Harriet. I was engrossed, and immediately driven to learn more. Although I’ve read W.E.B du Bois, The Souls...Read full review »

I appreciate learning about Harriet and the history that we never hear. Recently, I’ve decided I need to learn more about our history. I found myself getting so angry at our so called founding fathers, particularly Thomas Jefferson, Adams, others. I’m so mad that we hold them in such high esteem....Read full review »

This was very well done and I learned so much more about who Harriet Tubman was as a complete person and not just a one-dimensional historical figure of note for black history month. Gives a more comprehensive understanding of what life was like in her lifetime.

The level of detail in this podcast and the number of sources used puts Following Harriet in the upper echelons of this medium. Hats off to VA Tourism, as well as the folks at Ingredient for putting this together and doing it so well.
