This Rocks!!
This podcast is a great tool for anyone wanting to actually learn how to play guitar... or atleast those who want to be able to play more than just easy songs and to be able to know what they are playing. I've been playing guitar on and off for years. Not too long ago it seemed as if I had hit a wall in my self taught learning and playing; I was no longer progressing. There's only so much you can learn by yourself from just noodling around. About a week ago I got the first couple episodes of this podcast and I've learned more in the last week than I have in the last two years and my playing and knowledge has vastly improved already. I fired these podcasts up and was happily surprised by the depth of knowledge Mr. Serna has about the subject of Guitar Theory. These podcasts are literally diamonds in the rough from itunes. desi has a great way of getting across music theory onto the fretboard and does it with confusing the listener. that is great. also, uses traditional or well known songs to bridge the information to make it less esoteric. ...Read full review »
