In this episode, we reflect on Channel 4’s Black to Front. On September 10th, Channel 4 broadcast programming featuring Black presenters, actors, writers and experts, contributors, and programme-makers. It was done as part of the broadcaster’s commitment to represent and champion under-represented audiences and communities.  For our 5 minutes, we discuss the landmark case of Alice Thompson, an estate agent who won £185,000 at an employment tribunal. The sex discrimination case was heard after her employer refused to accommodate her need to work shorter hours to pick up her daughter from nursery.
