Just listened to Dr Mills and her research on fructose. My grandmother who had old age diabetes and passed away in 1995, was “prescribed” fructose by her GP in lieu of regular sugar because of her diabetes.

With some ocker-ised nom de plumes, this pair cuts the grade for commercial radio entertainment. But they report on FACTUAL information and salient health topics. An asset to our august public broadcaster and dearly valued by the listening public.

Great podcast Tegan. As an ex-shift worker I’d really love to see some serious studies on sleep. The sort of studies that governments and employers have to take notice of. Keep up the good work.

Completely superficial treatment of the subject. Really worthless. Might as well not have bothered. Also Norman’s comment about husbands not bothering their husbands - really trivializing what is a serious concern for many relationships

I’ve been listening to the Health Report for years, but like all ABC content I’m giving it up. Unsubscribed from today. The endless North Korean style far-right Royalist propaganda for slave-wealth billionairess Liz Windsor makes it clear the ABC is just and only an enforcer of official...Read full review »

As usual a thought provoking report that shows via evidence (although evidence itself suffers from gender bias) that womens health and the way their bodies work and react to treatments can be different and that most treatments are skewed to men because studies are done prominently on men. Just listened to the gender bias in medical research and treatment. So appalling to hear men have been the guinea pigs in medical trials. I’m glad that women will now will also be guinea pigs. I love the shows’s format but I just can’t listen anymore because Dr Swan continually interrupts the guest speakers. I can see why he us doing it - to clarify a point for the listeners, but it’s rude.

Used to be brilliant. I feel with the new format it has gone downhill. Too much banter now, not to the point, and the information provided is not of the same depth or substance. The same reason I stopped listening to Coronacast. The banter got in the way of the good quality factual content. I...Read full review »
