I’ve been listening to the Health Report for years, but like all ABC content I’m giving it up. Unsubscribed from today. The endless North Korean style far-right Royalist propaganda for slave-wealth billionairess Liz Windsor makes it clear the ABC is just and only an enforcer of official...Read full review »

Support groups like NA & AA are essential but have had to close due to the pandemic. Substance abuse will be a major problem going forward. Fascinating interview - thank you.

As usual a thought provoking report that shows via evidence (although evidence itself suffers from gender bias) that womens health and the way their bodies work and react to treatments can be different and that most treatments are skewed to men because studies are done prominently on men. Just listened to the gender bias in medical research and treatment. So appalling to hear men have been the guinea pigs in medical trials. I’m glad that women will now will also be guinea pigs. It reminds me of shocking Tuskegee Syphillis trial where black men’s syphilis was left untreated for...Read full review »

I listened to the Health Report story broadcast re above subject, particularly regarding the second part that mentioned brain images - default mode network and my comments are generally to do with ‘closing down the ego’s memory hub’. Great coverage of the year by experts who are highly talented and at the top of their game as well as being excellent communicators. My sincere thanks to them (and their teams) for their hard work and commitment to public health and thank you Norman for bringing them to us.

Norman has the ability to keep the show on the road and constantly interesting.the health report today 21 dec 2020 is a great international summary of the year. A must hear for those with even the smallest interest in COVID -bruce arroll auckland New Zealand

I love the shows’s format but I just can’t listen anymore because Dr Swan continually interrupts the guest speakers. I can see why he us doing it - to clarify a point for the listeners, but it’s rude.

Used to be brilliant. I feel with the new format it has gone downhill. Too much banter now, not to the point, and the information provided is not of the same depth or substance. The same reason I stopped listening to Coronacast. The banter got in the way of the good quality factual content. I...Read full review »

I thoroughly enjoy your podcast and the clarity you bring to health issues. Listening to you on the way home motivates me to open the laptop again (to do my own research) after playing footie and a full day at work.

It’s a great shame, especially during current times that you chose Prof Lloyd as your advisory on ME/CFS and rehashed treatments that are so detrimental. Dr Norman Swan does an excellent job of clearly communcating everything to do with our anatomy, whether it is funcioning as it should or not. That information can really help to allay fears and make life easier.

I love Dr Norman Swan’s cheeky and interrogative style and he holds the medical and research communities to account. I think I have this podcast to account for increasing my health literacy and keeping me up to date by translating research and evidence. Thanks!

I don’t usually listen to ABC Radio National, so I am grateful this weekly report is available as a podcast.
