My black girl magic isn’t diminished by my struggles
I was scrolling through podcasts and randomly located H.E.Rspace. I am so glad that I did. It “has” been difficult as a black woman to deal with many things because i was taught to be “strong” and pray about everything. I’ve allowed many of my childhood issues and traumas to define much of my life and undervalued my existence. I’m an extreme introvert who also suffers from depression. I have been learning to deal with who I am and who my past “taught” me to be. I am not my past or where I come from. I couldn’t help repeating the quote at the end podcast. All too often it’s so easy to get caught up in what was or has been and we (I) forget to live for/in the now. This podcast aided me in realizing my black girl magic isn’t diminished by anything in my past or even struggles that I am still trying to overcome. Thank you ladies this podcast was much appreciated and needed. I have shared it with so many others who will definitely benefit.
