“Definitely sad how much of the world was and is involved in Hillsong. So much misrepresentation of God’s Word in the podcast as well. The information about true experiences and how they felt, is what it is. Sad but honestly, we are told over and over IN Gods Word, for YOU to be in Gods Word. I know and study his Word, and desire to live my life accordingly. I would not have lasted a month in Hillsong, let alone years. Few of those individuals you interviewed sounded like they were grounded in The Word. So many complaints about homophobia, and “purity culture” I believe you called it. God’s Word is perfectly clear on these subjects. I would not have been as frustrated at this podcast had you completed research of what The Word says, and known that as well, so you could address all these claims at the same time.
Overall, thankful for those that have kept their faith, sadly the culture and its current misguided beliefs that do not represent The Word, impacted your opinion as much as the poor decisions those in leadership made.
