Real philosophy but really engaging - the teacher everyone dreams to have!
This has been a real revelation! I studied philosophy at high school in Italy but everything was always dull and dry and, well... Dead! Now I have finally found an engaging way to brush up - or actually learn properly for the first time - about philosophy and its implications in today's world and thinking. I work in a creative job, and I love my job, but as an Italian living in Australia, I really miss discussing abstract ideas just for the sake of it (people here are too polite to appreciate the pleasure of discussing even when you share the same opinion!) anyway, I love this podcasting, i love its historical approach (not just enumerating names but explaining the historical reasons why something happened) and I love the fact that the examples are always fun and easy to follow - this podcast is keeping me sane and might even prevent me to quit my dayjob to enroll in a philosophy course! Please go on!!!!! Thank you!!!Read full review »
