“Despite myself having practiced nonmonogamy and polyamory for 4 years with so wide a range of experience and never shying away from reading about experiences outside of my own, I find myself perpetually and delightfully surprised listening to this podcast at just how much more there is for me to learn about the wide world of nontraditional expressions of love and sex through the fascinating guestperts in Lila's rich tapestry of relationships of all kinds. The brilliant conceit of this show is that the intended atmosphere of lying in bed alongside two individuals engaging in extremely intimate, personal pillow talk is that not only does Lila give off the appearance of being in a romantic relationship with her guests but you're made to feel an immediate connection to them as well, establishing a much deeper connection than you've ever experienced on any other interview podcast. There's really nothing else like it. Even in my most cynical interpretation of this show merely being content marketing for Hacienda Villa, the content is so darn good that who cares if that were the case? One day, all content will be sponsored ("I, for one, embrace our new corporate overlords"), but nothing will be as genuinely vulnerable and raw and exciting and needed as this podcast. The bottom line is that this is a unique show with a very well-executed gimmick that I recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about nonmonogamy, polyamory, play parties, kink, sex-positivity, and everything in between.”Read full review »
