Intimacy, Sexuality, Taboo, Humanity
Lila's podcast is unique in it's inherently intimate feel in having guests lie down with her while having conversations that explore some of the soft inner bellies of the human experience. Yes, guests share their stories regarding relationships, sexuality, and topics that many would call "taboo", but it's definitely NOT an "interview" or even "friendly conversational" kind of sharing that happens in most, if not all, radio shows and podcasts. I really felt like I got to know each guest as a human being in their richly unique and human experiences, and realized that we're all much more similar and relatable than we think we are. It's not the content alone that has me feel so close to Lila and her guests. It's the *way* in which it's all shared that has me feel like I'm right next to them witnessing an intimate conversation that so many of us would normally have in a private cozy setting (lying next to each other with glasses of wine and fuzzy blankets).Read full review »
