The podcast that truly speaks to me
My therapist had been talking to me about the idea of breaking food rules and becoming more comfortable in my body, and it wasn’t until I listened to this podcast that it finally clicked. I mean, I half-heartedly attempted intuitive eating before, but now I am all-in. It just all makes sense. I am new to my journey, but I can honestly say that I’m already feeling more free and happy while allowing previously banned foods into my house. And the ladies are right- I didn’t immediately just eat all the “bad foods” all at once. Since they are “allowed” now, I don’t have to go through the cheat/binge cycle. I just eat what food I want and force my brain out of the guilt. I still have a ways to go on the body image part, but I’m sure with their help, and my therapist’s, I will get there! Please listen to this podcast if you have a million diet culture food rules that you want to break and if you always fail at diets and gain weight back! Most likely, any diet you’ve ever been on, you’ve failed at. They aren’t meant to be long term! Our bodies aren’t meant to be restricted from foods. If you’re just starting or you’ve been at it for awhile, I recommend this podcast!
