Wise Women figures I never had
I have never felt so validated. This podcast, out of all of them, speaks directly. It’s like I’m a child in the corner of the room and these two defenders are there talking about what happened to me (or the person in the message), and just their anger toward what the listener is writing about…..I have never felt like I could raise my head. I will tell all of the fb and mom groups about this podcast. It is so life changing. I appreciate the genuine-ness of even their irritation and then angry “soapbox” moments with some tastefully sprinkled-in choice words. I feel understood and supported. I feel like they’re in my corner and they are my voice, or helped me to just take perspective. They’re in my corner. One of the many things is the fact that they’re honest with each other, or they bring up things that might be a different perspective, and their humble openness and pleasant back and forth. It’s like one brings in a new perspective. It’s literally like watching the teachers (as a student in a lab/class) talk about a topic/dissect, and discuss. Literally how they bounce off of each other. Such a good dynamic. I also like their short and sweet ads, greetings, and ‘take care, bye!’. Literally binge listening to all the episodes and sometimes listening to the episodes again and again. The feelings, thoughts, challenges, support, sadness, and raising of my head that I experience with every podcast. I never learned any of this in detail the way they are talking about it. I could go on, and I probably will comment on their YouTube. I love how they’re on camera too, and the shorts.

So thankful for my sister sending me a Tik-Tok back in March during a particularly hard time. Helped me so much to find the words to explain my feelings and stop being silent.

I found this podcast just as I was trying to break away from my mother’s shackles after 42 years. I was so enmeshed and parentified, and she was the Queen at motivational empathy. I decided to break away when I saw her inflicting her behaviour on my young son and she ignored all my requests that...Read full review »
