“Hello J. Brown, Thank you for sharing your talk with Erich Schiffmann with the world. Erich taught me how to do Yoga. I can remember bugging Erich to teach a private Yoga class with me, and I swear he agreed to get me to stop bugging him! So there we were in his Yoga studio in his back yard, and I am all prepped with my Yoga book and ready to receive the teachings. So Erich asks me, "What do you feel like doing?" I answer, "Paschimottomasana -- my hamstrings feel tight." Then I stay there for a while and come up, and Erich asks,"Now what do you feel like doing?" And our entire hour session proceeded that way. After our session, Erich invited me to stay to do Yoga with some of his friends and other teachers. I was elated! Of course I would LOVE to stay and do more Yoga with Erich and meet other cool people and do Yoga together. After, I think my second session doing Yoga with everyone, doing their own Yoga, I told Erich, "This is SOOOO FUN! I wanna do this all of the time!!!" And Erich responded, "Well move down here, live down the street, and when you are not teaching come over and do Yoga." Needless to say 6 months later, I was living in L.A. and so my AWESOME apprenticeship with Erich fully began. Erich has been my rock, not only as my Yoga teacher, but also as my mentor, and best friend. It's so great hearing about Erich's magical journey!!! Erich really is living Yoga. Erich is LOVE. The love that Erich feels comes out in all that he does, all that he says, and permeates from his Being. Thank You J. Brown for sharing from Erich's magical journey.
