Insightful and Well researched
This is an excellent series by Ros Taylor. The episodes are well written and beautifully narrated. The public service announcements from the archives set the tone well. It’s an evocative social history spanning my early childhood through to the present day. It’s sad to see the post war idealism, that brought so many social benefits, being systematically by cynical Tory administrations.

A wonderful series which critically examines the foundations of the modern British state. It provides well researched thematic history of those formative years alongside myth busting of nostalgia. A great listen which is definitely helped by the great soundtrack and Roz’s smooth voice!
